PHILANTHROPY

The philanthropic focus of Gamma Phi Beta is "Building Strong Girls!" Gamma Phi Beta is passionate about our philanthropic focus because we know today's girls face more challenges than ever, making the need for a safe place with supportive mentors even greater. Girls need women in their lives who can help them develop the skills necessary to succeed in life. Gamma Phi Betas are those women!

The Gamma Phi chapter holds our philanthropy very dear to our hearts, and strive every day to Build Strong Girls. Whether we're raising money, volunteering in our community, or simply being a role model for a girl in our individual lives, we know the outcome of strong, spiritually, mentally and socially resilient girls will benefit our community and our world.

GAMMA PHI BETA LOVES GIRLS ON THE RUN

Gamma Phi Beta is the proud National Sponsor of Girls on the Run International, a nonprofit organization that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. At the end of the semester, the girls hit the street and run a 5k in their area to demonstrate all that they have learned and accomplished.

Our chapter works with Girls On The Run by helping our local chapter in Auburn. We have several girls that coach their very own teams. It is such a rewarding experience to see all of our sister’s hard work shine through in the young girls in this program. In addition to coaching, we also make signs and tutus to help the girls get excited for the race. We have sisters who run the race alongside the elementary and middle school girls to give them constant encouragement throughout the race. We like to fill the track with other members of our chapter to cheer them on to the very end! We love watching how much this program not only impacts the elementary girls we coach, but also how it affects our own girls of Gamma Phi Beta.
